You may notice the following message when you try to apply cPGuard license on some servers.

cPGuard Licenseabuseis detected and Trial license is not allowed. Please contact support for further assistance

This actually happens when you use cracked licenses on your server ( in the name of shared license ) and thus is the server is virtually in risk. So cPGuard try to identifythe existance of such user case and block enabling cPGuard  until you clear the cracked license files and their packages. 

To fix this error, you have to remove all existence of “opsshield.com” and “malware.expert” from the file /etc/hosts and then apply the license key using the following command.

cpgcli license –key LICENSE-KEY

Please make sure to replace LICENSE-KEY with your actual key. Also uninstall the packages that were provided by the vendor to activate the cracked license, as their package will add the entries again to /etc/hosts file and that will break the license again.
